I got into JNU this year. However with the NDA alliance winning this year and guaranteed RW rule for the next 5 years, the attacks on JNU are only going to increase. Should I ignore these risks and still pursue my course in JNU ?
The only ones seriously attacking JNU are the ABVP students losing elections there and the occasional spokesperson providing entertainment on news channel "debates".

JNU is and will remain among the premier institutes for humanities in India.
Not really. What will happen is that the BJP will expand STEM and business departments at JNU. Already happening. The introduction of the law course is also a step towards diluting the humanities, as law is arguably less woke than the humanities in the sense that students aspire for corporate jobs. Even in case of the hard-left departments like pol science and socio, you will see hiring one RW faculty.

My own prediction is that the BJP will ultimately give IIT status to JNU and make it 90% STEM-driven.
You can choose to remain neutral and participate only in academic related events.
