I had worked 4y as an in-house IP counsel. When I joined the MNC, I was barely 2y in the profession. I started with 12lpa and was earning 20lpa after 4y. Certainly, I wasn't a good negotiator but I could see that the median salary pay was at least 15-20% higher than what I was being paid.
P.s. I was in-house till the COVID year. The median salary would have gone up in last 4y. Maybe 20-25% higher than the above quoted values.
