The rank means nothing when it is inaccessible for the majority of the population.
It is amusing to see the number of downvotes by the NLU bhakts on this platform. As if it matters. It is clear that with the overall decline of the state NLUs, no NLU has the ability or the will to outrank JGLS in the next 20 years. NLS has (rotten) eggs on its face.
Okay. JGLS has this rank. It still doesn't manage to get the best students of this country to study there, nor does it produce the best grads. So what's the use of this rank other than to attract students to pay a lot and fill up Jindal's oversized coffers?
NLS is kind of like the public version of Jindal now. But places like NLUD and NALSAR are still way better law schools than JGLS.
1. JGLS #1 for 5 years in a row:NLU reaction: 😠

2. Has IOE status

NLU reaction: πŸ˜–

3. Has a large number of students placed in T1 firms ,doing LLMs abroad and working abroad

NLU reaction: 😀

4. Naveen Jindal has joined the BJP and the college has taken a pro-Modi turn ideologically

NLU reaction: 😾😑🀬
I mean good?

But most of the markers come off because Jindal is a full-fledged university with more than 10 colleges in its fold. NLUs on the other hand just have law and some colleges with the management department now. So on many of the fronts that these NLUs would be competing with are potentially not as large as the Jindal which is a university for humanities and law....

So, sure but this is actually not a fair comparison.
