Shashi Tharoor: " arguably the most widely followed & highly admired YouTube video-maker of his generation in India, whose last two videos on dictatorship have together achieved nearly 50 million views"

Karan Thapar interviewing him: "Millions admire you, love you" etc.

Am I missing something? Is he really that big a deal? I mean, why not read the Hindu or EPW if you want critiques of Modi?
If you look at both sides you know he pretends to be neutral but he is Left leaning and Pro Opposition

He is not a big deal unless you are an avid social media user and consume politics from social media
Very sad that an intellectual and informative website like The Wire had to dumb itself down to interview this glorified TikTok boy for views. I would really urge Gen Alpha/Gen Z not to rely on Dhruv Rather and instead read the NYT, Guardian, Wire, Hindu, Caravan etc.
Wish i had started a YT channel where i read wikipedia articles and got millions of followers.
Just see his recent video in twitter of how he purposely showed cow while telling a beef exporter company donated to BJP. He is not going to tell that its Buffalo meat not cow meat.

His andhbhakt supporters are anyways gonna defend him while calling andhbhakt. Currently he is doing campaign for opposition so better watch out for misleading claims from him
What made him big is he gives information normally available only in English in clear and concise Hindi/Hinglish, which makes him unique and gives him wider base of Hindi belt

For some godforsaken reason, this literal Youtuber is a more effective Hindi-speaking critic of the government than the entire fucking Opposition
