The title. Why have firms like Khaitan, AZB, and SAM not set up shop in Hyderabad ? Plus, looks like NDA, DSK have shut shop, and looks like JSA does not have a corporate team there anymore, after the partner left to set up his own shop. To add to it, neither does Indus or Samvad seem to have a major local client base. What is going on ?
Just rephrase the topic as follows: Why does India have such few tier 1 jobs outside Delhi. Mumbai and Bengaluru, when the US (with 1/3 our population) has tier 1 jobs in NY, Boston, LA, Chicago, San Francisco, Plano Alto, Houston, Dallas, Philadelphia etc?
You are comparing India and the US? Also the administrative and justice system there is very swift and even the smallest laws are actually enforced
Do you not understand how the legal systems in the USA work?😭Think holding together vs coming together federations
large pharma groups and land owners live here but prefer smaller firms. Biocon for example
Samvad has small but local client base. It is not a back office like Indus is.
Tatva Legal seems to be the only real firm in Hyderabad. Rest are all chillar gang
Definitely more than Khaitan, CAM and SAM (all their offices combined). Tatva single-handedly defeats all of them.
As if Mumbai Delhi Bangalore are BJP strongholds? Which cow belt city is up there with Mumbai Delhi Bangalore?
Trilegal had an office but they closed it. CAM (and previously as AMSS) is still there.
Saying as a Telugu guy. We are selfish AF. Legal shops are all about sharing profit and to mutually grow. All the people who used to work at these big shops separated on their own.
Very true. In the future, I see a few partners even leaving Tatva Legal to set up their own shop.
