Every comment I read here about this firm is berating it, especially the banking team for some reason. I'm thinking about lateral applying to the firm and genuinely want to know what it is that people deem the firm a nightmare for so I can decide if this is a place I want to work at or not.

LI trolls specialise in berating people anonymously. You shouldn't rely upon that for accurate info.

Really?

1. They pay very bad

2. They tricked interns into assessments which are unpaid and then said there's no assessment

3. They barely do any work compared to the big weights or even tier 2s
