In the long run, as an academician, Does it matter whether you do your masters and PhD from a central university (DU, JNU) vs from a state university (NLS,NLUD,NALSAR) ??

Yes, always choose central universities. Pursue your degree from BHU or other central universities rather than state universities like NLS, Nalsar etc. You will directly get a job in Oxford if you are doing your degree from BHU/DU while people from NLS/Nalsar struggle a lot cuz state university degrees are not recognized outside india

I agree. QS rankings don't even acknowledge NLUs. Atleast DU, JNU, IITs are there.
