The vacancies depend a lot on the increase in work and the perception of management. There are already around 150 lawyers working in the legal stream. Attrition has increased because of stagnation issues.

Law graduates are also eligible to apply for general stream.
Sebi’s attrition rate, especially in legal is high which is why legal vacancies have now come out for 3 years in a row. The vacancies will remain stable with 10-13 being the max range. It isn’t that big of an org to have 30 vacancies only for legal.
Unlikely to increase. SEBI is also into cutting costs and reducing its headcount
there are only 5 vacancies for 2024 recruitment cycle, to those who may be able to provide any insights, how this trend may continue in next 2-3 years? Will the vacancies see a sharp increase perhaps around 30 or it will remain low around 5-10?
