Any other CJI would also have been done the same. To quote Anil Kapoor from Nayak, "Sab ke sab chor hai!"
He should release the letter he wrote else it didn’t happen. Why should we believe him?
Because he's one of the very few honest members of the judiciary. Nor interested in political positions.
And yet he became a judge! Define honesty and interest.
People who are honest can become a judge. It takes courage to stay honest after that.
Why is this shocking? It would have been shocking if the CJI had actually acted upon the complaint. The PM or CM may get into trouble for corruption but people from Higher Judiciary can never get into trouble.
There are numerous such cases. Read the reports of Prashant Bhushan's CJAR.
Silent all this while and then drops a bombshell in a Bar and Bench interview. Doesn’t give any details. Brings up Adani and NDTV takeover for some reason. Strange to say the least.
