Again really no wonder clients like HDFC donโ€™t want to work with CAM, and keep them at bay & far awayโ€ฆ
Guys, Let them have a new start. This thread should be stopped now.
But at least one of them was an equity partner. Are you saying they don't have their own book?
Amarchands' know very well how to contain such problems. One reason why SAM will not be long term.

This makes me question. What is better? Indoctrinated servitude or cognitive and fear bound servitude due to lack of your own books and heavy dependency on RHB. โ–ฎโ–ฎโ–ฎ
Atleast there will be some positivity on our floor now. No unnecessary bullpen bitching.
Integrate. Another name for indoctrinated servitude.
Not certainly the team which is moving to Okhla. Far far away from Ashwath and Shishir. You should see Ashwath's clientele. KKR alone tells you a lot.
Really, who is the Ashwath & Shishir equivalent in CAM now even after years that formers left for AZB & KCO respectivelyโ€ฆhas this void ever been filled !

Can someone confirm if it's the entire team- with all associates or whether it's just one partner and a few associates?

This sounds like a certain Bengali man is trying to do damage control. Don't worry, your future employer is not going to rescind your contract.
Ya, they could barely survive Trilegal which amongst all T1s promotes independence. All Delhi corp teams at SAM are known to be toxic so integration can be very difficult or very easy. But no one has poached them for sure. Need to have books for that.
Wherever they may go, they will not get the same leeway as CAM. CAM was pretty easy on them.
There is S&R, DSK, SAM, Phoenix Legal, Panag babu and some more law firms in Okhla. Which one is it?
Yes. Partners have officially resigned. See you in Okhla.
Ok this is sorted and official. Next destination - โ–ฎโ–ฎโ–ฎ bhai
That is sad. People his batch had to really pull their weight to become EP.
There is so much animosity. How are these people working together if they hate each other so much. Good case study but not worth the mental trauma and bitterness.
Exactly. Great if these partners are moving out of CAM, this thread will not impact CAM's image anymore. I hope they learn.
This thread I think is the longest thread on LI and the vibe is really bad. Why are people wasting time here, care about your career and move forward.
One client and equity? CAM's equity has no value. Might as well do away with SP concept.
He has a massive client. Even though repetitive work which juniors handle but still revenue wise low risk high reward.

Lots of transactions, but all similar types. Not great quality of work or people. You will only learn basics. The view will remain very narrow as you will see very limited types of transactions. Not PE/ M&A team for sure. Can be considered for DFI and VC work.
One partner is leaving by himself for another firm, confirmed news

I hope associates in this team make informed choice before choosing to move with the existing partners. Since in Delhi there are only two partners and both are โ–ฎโ–ฎโ–ฎ

But there are already 3 SAs in the team (who are not getting promoted this year to PA). How will there be 7 SAs total in 1 team?
A 21-word comment posted 3 months ago was not published.
Not that difficult, one per partner. And if not that, will gaslight couple of them into thinking they aren't good enough. Surprised that hasn't happened yet.
There are 4 people who are up for promotion to SA level. How will all 4 get promoted lol?

Lol, it is threat. He is aware of these issues forever, he chose not to act. Won't be an intelligent move to go and discuss these issues with him. Let the other person take the hit.
What do you mean by the last line? "Can understand the reason why they are treating you badly"
Do you really think it is Ravi, who wrote the comment? Can understand the reason why they are treating you badly

Grievance is not just with favorites but also against you. Breaks are needed because of the toxicity otherwise it will be difficult to survive. And I agree leaving the team may just be the best strategy.
I have made note of all the concerns. I will do my best to address the concerns, including reprimanding the seniors and partners. Now, please stop posting here and maligning the team. Let us discuss this over our face to face conversations.
If you have such heavy grievances with the favourites, just leave. Why are you wasting your time? Honestly, you guys want to spend a good chunk of time taking breaks and wasting time and then you come and cry foul here. Just learn some ethics.
A 5-word comment posted 5 months ago was not published.
Don't think Ravi at his level would go and discuss this with the associates. But the partners (one in specific) and some senior resources keep alluding to this. Also at his age, doesn't sound very far fetched.

What a sad sad reality. Feedback means nothing in these places. They don't even maintain anonymity properly when upward feedback is given.
Shouldnt this also be considered trollish ? Certainly use of the word meritocracy.
A 51-word comment posted 6 months ago was not published.
What is wrong with these associates, senior and the PR people of this firm?
This is some BS. This team is all about meritocracy and not mediocrity. If you have not been taken for a client event, it is either because you are not working with relevant client or you are not good enough. Take the hint. And stop maligning the team on such platform.

That was a dream team. The last person of that team left last year. Whoever worked with those set of seniors and associates will always have some kind words to say about team RHB.

Exactly why I am surprised that they are trying to give someone indication though LI Comment when they anyway do this in office. How much more fun they want? Anyways a GenZ revolution is coming their way soon.
And I assume you cannot bring yourself to possibly write any kind words for them

Bro, there is no comparison between these two. The PA who has become a partner is actually a favorite. Rest everyone else is just a resource.
There is no way to respond to this without getting censored since anything unkind is marked as trollish/contested.

Honestly if you are working 20 hours, you are doing something really really wrong.
Since I work 20 hrs a day in this team, I have no time to study anything but more. But being a gracious senior, please enlighten me with your wisdom.
Do you want some associate to be told directly to leave the team forever?
Not before you are also thrown out for not doing the work but wasting time by commenting here.
Finally somebody pointed out one positive aspect. Otherwise this thread is so gloomy.
Clear in-person communication is one of an important management skill. Sending a message through a social media post is not.

Commenting on any of them can be lethal for us at work, and bring down their collective wrath on us.
A 21-word comment posted 10 months ago was not published.
If you have no work in that team, you should leave (forever).
Now with VP gone, what is your view? How 'normal' are the rest?
That PA is a partner now and that SA is a PA now. Nothing else in that comment has changed.
A 21-word comment posted 10 months ago was not published.
Basically, you want to rig the response in way that it can only be favorable to you.
There is no scope of growth at any level beyond SA. Ravindra is losing it (make what you will of this)
Will be fun to see how the existing partners survive once Ravindra retires which could be sooner than some think
You have listed what the team should do. What about what YOU should do? Expectations run both ways. You can't expect and demand without contributing in return.

what is sufficient time? who is the associate into partner cause they are only 2 and well, one is untouchable. Nobody has time to train but who is even trying to be trained? โ–ฎโ–ฎ

Only team worth considering if you are looking to do transactions while based out of Delhi. Balanced members in the team. High volume of quality work. People are generally quite courteous and put in efforts to train.
thatโ€™s exactly what phased out means. No promotions, no increments. People are rarely directly kicked out
One person has been kept at A2 level for 6 years what phase out lol
Definitely one of the best corporate teams in Delhi. Team is mostly well knit and very nice junior partners as well.
Worked in Ravi's team and he is a great guy and work is superb. Can't think of a single negative.
Superb team, great work culture and great people. Work pressure is high but with a corporate/PE focus that is natural.
A 12-word comment posted 2 years ago was not published.
Ok team but lot of favouritism. one SA and one PA seem to get all the attention from the big boss. Who will stick around?
One of the best teams in Delhi - you career will really benefit by working with him and the other partners in that team. Should apply definitely if there is a vacancy.
Avoid CAM. promoter run firms have the worst decision making and control structure

You will not be awarded or promoted on merit, pure whims
Used to work in his team. He's great - not sure who else is left there but working with Ravi is a great experience.
Work is decent. WLB is zero. Toxicity is high. Crab mentality. Team works in a complete silo. No collaboration.
A 17-word comment posted 2 years ago was not published.
Heard it has long hours but good PE work - decent folks. And from what i've heard, no one has quit in the last 12-13 months except one for her wedding.
That is the last thing that one would say about this team. They have a bunch of great clients and work and pressure is high. But learning is superb. So yes it is not always easy but absolutely worth the effort. Great team and culture that is supportive.
I think one of the best teams to work in. Great culture and work. Would strongly recommend.
Did you guys hear back? I applied but am yet hear back.
Exceptional work and team! Totally recommend for anyone looking to get transactional experience.
While working in his team, your soul will become as poetic as Tagore but you will always feel chained.
Very toxic, there's a reason there are always vacancies.
