I have an LLB degree from NUJS. I have personally considered our LLM and PhD candidates just as much alumni as we are. Can't speak for others.
Good point. NLU LLB people mock LLM people, but the moment an LLM grad does anything good they claim him/her as one of their own. Recently, a student of NLSIU MLB (which is a correspondence course with zero campus participation) came on Shark Tank and they claimed credit for him too, LOL.
Oh ! So now a NLU LLM is suddenly an alumni. Whereas anything apart from UG courses are seen as not worth the NLU tag. Very convenient. With the same logic he is more a CU alumni than a NLU one.
This party is making ground for future whoever comes will prove worthless as they are representative of a race never will be promoted from poverty long live city of joy, ashani sanket, akaler sandhane,we are residing in a greenery, but worthless at last, only having rabindranath for purpose of making different recipes and performing hypocrisy.
What's the point of "getting" a LS ticket from a party which is dedicated to remain irrelevant and obscurantist?
Very poor choices by BJP for Jadavpur and some other places as well. If winnability was the sole reason for BJP dropping 6 of its 7 MPs in Delhi, goodness knows why the loser AG has been given the ticket again (lost in VS by a huge margin from Bolpur) and that too from a prestigious seat of Jadavpur.

As individuals the Left candidates are good folks. But they will lose. The Left needs to reinvent itself fundamentally. This gimmick of "infusing young blood" is just tacky.
He scooted when he was approached to take up issues that came up during PIB eviction. Later when NKC started his shenanigans, he again stayed away. To his credit, he hinted that NKC and his family being watermelons (and now pumpkin) he cannot risk involvement.
Please check. Undergraduate from MS Ramaiah College of Law. But did he complete the LLM from NUJS? Apparently his LLM thesis was pending.

He is a junior of former Tripura AG and KMC Mayor BR Bhattacharya, who is now a RS Member. But there is also some talk that SS's junior represents Kunal Ghosh of TMC.

He is from Howrah. Not a surprise. As with LC, he too will lose.
Though I am a BJP supporter I will be very happy if he wins. He has been representing victims of the TMC's tyranny pro bono. The Left has put forward some good candidates this time, like another lawyer Sayan Banerjee, Sujan Chakrabarty and Saira Shah Halim . In contrast, the BJP candidates are of poor quality and relying solely on anti-TMC sentiment.

Of course, this also present the problem of opposition votes splitting. Will be a shame if the TMC winds because of that.
Congratulations! He is a good speaker and has been a relentless fighter against the misrule of the TMC. He is also possibly the first ever NLU grad to get an LS ticket??? NUJS should invite him for a talk.
CPI(M) has released its candidates' list partially today in Bengal and Sabyasachi Chatterjee, practising advocate in Calcutta High Court, an LLB grad from CU and LLM grad from NUJS, has been given the ticket to contest from Howrah constituency. He has been appearing in the media on behalf of the Left for quite some time now.
