We want LI to be one of the friendliest places on the internet, where lawyers and law students help each other with their career related queries and occasionally discuss other stuff that might affect their lives too. In other words:
1. Be kind, respectful and helpful to each other.
2. Be bona fide, truthful, genuine and curious.
3. Assume the best intention of others.

Not unique to tourists, of course. Happens to women of all classes and we even have reports of this in so-called elite NLUs. What’s the solution then? How about ultra-fast-track courts and capital punishment for all rapists?
Then victim blaming, I see so many people not believing victim statements but making conclusions based on the accused. It's almost as if men believe men more.
Then stigma in reporting.
Then the damn corrupt and slow police.
Grass root mentality change - takes time, a lot of time but has to be doneTalented and passionate people becoming people with power - and not going for cushion jobs like MNCs - it is what it is
No complacent people in places that hold authority to work on such issues - We need dedication and support
Eye for an eye mentality - not in the literal sense, but some damage must be done to those who decided to infringe the bodily rights of the woman - how? they should not be given equal rights, like other sane citizens, they no longer deserve it.
Men and women both need to become aware that they do not hold any right or power over others, the mindset of people is corrupted these days and the guts to act on the shit thoughts they have in their minds with no fear of any consequences is saddening.
So, no counselling, no giving second chances, no jail, a punishment that will act as a fear so no one dares to even think of committing such crimes is the only solution unfortunately, in a country like ours.
When peace doesn't work, harshness has to step in - in the form of strict punishments.
Now was just curious about something dont start a war on me
Why do these guys never try to cover the incident like kill them and bury or something ?
Snip/snip
India will have to craft its own response. And that begins with a clear change in how legal cultures understand rape and why it should be punished in whatever way as mandated by law.
With that being said, we mustn't forget that the 'law of the land' comes only into play after the crime. Until then, it's all about how we engage with the 'laws of nature.' Here's putting this in context:

Humans are complex beings, as we all know. Very different from the tiger 🦈 you just saw in that video! The male gaze and what one can come to expect from it can differ from culture to culture and from environment to environment. Denying ourselves this fact will bring undesirable consequences. Because, in doing so, you are effectively challenging the wrath of Mother Nature. Evolution is no doubt an intrinsic part of the human spirit, but make no mistake - different societies have made different strides from barbarism.
Happy women's day everyone! Take men along by winning and not trashing them. Remember you are part of the same team!
India is not a rotten society as a whole
India needs to develop areas like Bihar/Jharkhand where people are uneducated and poor with no moral or cultural valure( I am not saying to all people of states but some areas its reality)
India also dont have good police force which can investigate matter. Police tend to favour locals and have relations with criminals.
Education is not going to solve it because people who are far more educated still commit rape. We have to teach morals and cultural values to new generation and start public execution of these people.( I know its harsh but only way). In Mauryan Empire rapists/criminals would have their head trampled by large elephants as punishments and just look and Saudi and UAE and their laws.
Those mor*ns who talk human rights about these criminals should be discarded from society as a person who commits these crimes is not human but animal moreover these human right activists who call for less punishment for rapes and other crimes empower criminals indirectly.
