Hi would be difficult to switch if my firm is tier 3 or lower and mostly practice's in gc advisory would drafting of sha and ssa also fall in transaction or advisory
Can anyone explain the difference between regulatory work and transactions work?
Yes. Hiring limited.

Switch to transaction side.
Yep. Will be difficult for you to switch ro other firms and crack interview in general
I work in the gen corp team of a tier 1 firm in Bombay. This team also does a lot of regulatory matters. If I am more involved on the regulatory side, which is niche, does that effect my long term growth. Are there any positives, if I don’t do much on the transaction side.
