1. Be kind, respectful and helpful to each other.
2. Be bona fide, truthful, genuine and curious.

Do they teach you how to read at Jindal?
Look at the original post, which claims: "this top, global. university, has disgracefully fallen from its coveted first rank position and now occupies Rank 6 in Private Universities and a much, much lesser rank when public universities are included." Not the law school, but the University.
What's the rank of the University? 951-1000 band a/c to the latest QS 2024 Ranking. 5 other private universities are ahead of Jindal's rank. https://www.topuniversities.com/world-university-rankings
Yet, what does Jindal portray on their website? "Ranked NO. 1 Private University in India" https://jgu.edu.in/
This, my dear friend, is the OP's point.
You are misguiding others. Check this link for the latest ranking of world's top 300 law schools as per QS World University Rankings by Subject Law 2023
https://www.topuniversities.com/university-subject-rankings/law-legal-studies?tab=indicators
This is true that only Jindal Global Law School & National Law School Bangalore are two institutes who find place in world's top 300 law schools from India ever.
Rank 84 O.P. Jindal Global University
Sonepat, India
Rank 201-250 National Law School of India University
Bangalore, India
Take a case study. If you go to the website of a reputed private university (often the topic of acrimonious debates on this website), it proclaims, in BIG, BOLD, LETTERS, that it has been "RANKED NO. 1 PRIVATE UNIVERSITY IN INDIA" for three years consecutively according to QS Ranking 2021, 2022, and 2023. Now you are bound to be amazed, even starry eyed seeing this. But here, folks, is a good instance of how many Universities inflate themselves. You will find a number of institutions using adept turns of phrasing and words to proclaim achievements. Which is why circumspection is key.
In the case under study, you might not realize that according to the latest QS Ranking 2024, this top, global. university, has disgracefully fallen from its coveted first rank position and now occupies Rank 6 in Private Universities and a much, much lesser rank when public universities are included.
And this is just one instance of how puffery practices generally pervade Indian educational institutions and enable the mushrooming, and false appraisal, of a number of sub-par institutions.
Moral of the story: do your due diligence, speak to seniors, connect with people, spend enough time knowing the truth and realities of a place, and make sure you have considered and assessed enough data before you jump into a decision. Neither are rankings a tell-all for education, nor are they completely irrelevant and baseless, but you should be aware that Universities often exaggerate claims and make, at times, wildly unsubstantiated assertions to promote admissions. All the best.
