Because once the data comes out it will likely show that Adani and Ambani give to the Congress and opposition as well, not just the BJP? Which deflates their core argument? Also, according to the Wire, the TMC received almost the same amount as the Congress despite being a regional party confined to one state and much smaller than the Congress. Now, Gautambhai may be the BJP’s sugar daddy, but the TMC too has a VERY generous sugar daddy. Who could that be?

Isn't the data out already? I thought it was cited in the link you shared? Am I missing something?
Only the numbers are known, not the donors. It’s pretty much known who the BJP and Cong donors are, but it’s a really mystery how the TMC has managed to get so much in donations and almost rival the Congress. You have strong regional parties in industrially advanced states (like the Shiv Sena and NCP in Maharashtra or DMK in Tamil Nadu) getting so much less than the TMC. Given that Bengal is going backward industrially and doesn’t attract big-ticket investments, and that the TMC has been out of power in the centre for many years, who would donate to the TMC? We’ll know the answer in a few weeks…
TMC has multiple verticals through which they conduct corruption. For example, education, coal, cow-smuggling, employment and countless others. There are a huge number of people who benefit from these schemes (corruptions). So, the number of sugar daddies for TMC would be many and not one or two large donors.
Parties like BJP and TMC have converted corruption into institutionalised art form, on the central and state levels.
BJP gets their own share of cow smuggling money through the BSF, who are fully complicit in the racket.
So why isn't the state govt stopping the vehicles on the way to the border?
Correct. In fact, when the data is published you will probably see that the TMC’s donors are obscure shell companies, rather than Adani. The only recognisable name is likely to be the Hiranandani group.
The data has already revealed that BJP has received the overwhelming lion's share of the money from these bonds.
Buddy, that’s not the issue. The issue is how can you shame the BJP for receiving money from Adani and then take cash from the same Adani (which the data will probably show when published)?

Also, how the F does the TMC get almost the same amount of donations as the Congress? As one of the comments says, it obviously has to be the proceeds of scam money being laundered through shell companies. Blatant looting of the public!!! 😑😑😑
Because both BJP and TMC make deals with each other and are full of corrupt people.
Why are you forcing your opponents into this binary? People can dislike corruption in all political parties and still try and hold the one in power- and the one likely to be relected accountable. If youre never going to vote the other way- no matter what evidence of wrong doing comes out- you should consider who you are loyal to.
Had that been the case, sheth ji would have leaked the data. It is a setback for govt. Har cheej ko masterstroke bolne ki bimari lag gayi hai ffs
The data is finally out, your whole thread goes to trash. No Ambani, Adani in the list :) Though i wonder they should have opted for other 'means' of donations.
You do realise the concept of proxy donations exist, don't you? Moreover, there are companies named with whom Ambani at least has links through Reliance.
BJP received 6000 + crore rupees nearly 6 times of what TMC received & more than TMC INC and other major parties combined. Let that sink in.
BJP is at the Centre with 300+ MPs and is part of the govt in 19 states while TMC only has 20 MPs and exists only in 1 state let that sink in.
Lol, supporters of two corrupt parties trying to point fingers at each other at who is the bigger thief! Democracy at its best. Incredible India!
So you agree that the government is for sale ? You just don’t have a problem with it because it’s your guys?
I did not understand one thing

BJP just legalized corruption otherwise before 2014 all parties used to take the money under the table so why are leftists so happy as if some big thing have come out ? All party will now take money under the table as previously they were doing.

This thing will only work for some propaganda for parties as of now otherwise they both know reality.

Speccialy both parties now trying to post their own type of data. Now only one thing will happen that is political parties will hound bussiness that did not donated to them.
from " na khaunga na khaane doonga" to- well we all do corruption so lets just legalize it. The morality is absent. I dont particularly care that the congress is also corrupt- the congress is not abount to win a third term with an increased majority that would allow for unilaterally amending constitutions. When the congress is in power- then I will criticise them as well. Thats what patriots do- they hold their country accountable. Dont you guys go on and on about patriotism? how about demonstrating some?
An EB by itself doesn't mean corruption, a quid pro quo does.

Matching of donors with recipients is one of the first step in trying to establish quid pro quo, the other being if such entities were shell companies and thereafter establishing their source of fund can reveal a lot.

Also, the major flak is being received by BJP cause not only are they the major recipients of the donations through EB but also cause they brought in this highly opaque mechanism of donation. They also removed all safeguards to corporate donation mechanism such as limiting donation by linking them with profit.

The proponents of "now back to black money/ under the table mechanism" must understand this mechanism existed before EB during EB and even after EB. EB in no ways limited black money on the other hand it encouraged funneling of money either as quid pro quo or through laundering while giving the protection of anonymity which was absent in the pre-EB regime (read qua public scrutiny).
