We want LI to be one of the friendliest places on the internet, where lawyers and law students help each other with their career related queries and occasionally discuss other stuff that might affect their lives too. In other words:
1. Be kind, respectful and helpful to each other.
2. Be bona fide, truthful, genuine and curious.
3. Assume the best intention of others.

For example I love IP law and I know it like the back of my hand. But if you ask me to say something on Class 1 heirs of some religious community in family law context, I may not be able to.
It feels like I have a cache memory. I study the last two weeks before the exam and ace them but after a few weeks or even days, I forget everything. I thought earlier that pandemic prep and online classes might be the reason but even after pandemic, the same situation persisted. RN it feels like I have wasted my 5 years. I am scared to interact with lawyers or law students from local law colleges during my internship who have all the concepts and sections at the back of their minds. I am also scared if some lay men ask me some questions of family law regarding partition, succession, or tax. How can I say I don't know all this? The only comfort that I have is the fact that at least my friend circle (with same above average gpa and who are all placed like me in Ts1) are in the same boat when it comes to past knowledge.
So my question to all especially the A0s, A1s etc is this. Is this normal for everyone?
Should I start prep again just to escape the embarrassment while working? Also, I feel like even if I study once again I will forget after few months (I am not even talking about sections and articles, but just the concepts). So all those peeps who know all sections and concepts inside out .....how do you do this? Thanks. PLEASE DON'T TROLL, I AM GENUINELY CONCERNED.
