how much time do litigation lawyers get for themselves, do they get a full month in summer? can he/she take off any day he wants during the year?
Not really the full month. Client meetings, drafting, arbitrations etc. could very well go on during vacations. Also, courts besides the HCs don't really have a full month vacation. However, many practitioners tend to take a week or two off.

If there's something that comes up during court working days, at least in the HCs, people tend to file leave notes [Word of caution: Sometimes, some HC judges may tend towards not taking the same into consideration; there is certainly a degree of discretion involved].
I'm someone who is very much into traveling and I'm very keen on doing litigation(I'm second gen) so should i do litigation or corporate? because vacations are a must for me as i would trek and stuff
