People are leaving in search of better places to work. Tier 1 law firms are providing great starting packages, however, then the exploitation is also a lot. As someone who left after a few months of joining, I feel relief as I am not 24*7 accountable to someone, don't have to work on weekends or pull all-nighters, and not adhere to unreasonable deadlines. Moreover, these law firms are filled with sadist seniors who would not let you leave office on days you have less work since they are working on something. Working in such places, you don't have a life outside of the office.
