NLUs glorify corporates because that is how they justify the ROI, and its fine. When you spend a ton of money to get your ticket at a premier institution, you also need to make the most out of that opportunity and make it a worthwhile investment. That said, there are plenty of kids from the top 6-7 NLUs that have cracked LLMs and MBAs at prestigious universities or have forayed into UPSC and the likes. Look them up, they are plenty and you will be amazed with the level of talent they have.
Secondly, your pursuit of practical knowledge is commendable but the same gets easier when you know what you are looking for in your 'hit and trial' method. No lawyer, irrespective of their alma mater, will ever deny the importance of a thorough and comprehensive understanding that stokes critical thinking. If they do, they are not good lawyers to begin with and you should steer clear of them.
Your idea that litigators are looked down upon is also not the right one. Litigation as a practice is very hostile for newcomers and most of the law grads who decide to pursue it do anything and everything in their power to just survive the onslaught of imbecile and pathetic seniors. Also, please tell me what type of service to society are you doing when your senior keeps deferring the matter on the pretext that it is a fresh matter or for other flimsy reasons.
The average NLU rage is so outlandish. The graduates of any law college are destined for greatness provided they have the substance for it. But you cannot downplay the importance of an institution that hones talents, makes sure that avenues are made available for their students to grow and provides the best education by Indian standards. It is not impossible to do good without all of these but it's hard.

Same is the case for other batches. And, yes we have foreign LLMs, civil services, and corp jobs.
Well again the numbers aren't as high as T1 and some T2 NLUs but they aren't supposed to be since the student intake ain't that great plus the college does nothing to provide opportunities.
No NLU student is posting on LinkedIn or on Legally India about people not getting into NLU and making them the laughingstock. It is just people like you who post on LinkedIn just to try to hate NLU and make yourself a laughingstock. Nobody looks down on you if you have a good mouth. I believe you're the intern who arrogantly stays silent around NLU interns to feel superior. Your hate prevents you from accepting that their choice of field or philosophy is just their opinion.
You do what you want, and let others do what they want.
This post shows why you didn't get into NLU. From your childhood until now, you have tried to be a superior person. You were that child in your childhood who just took away the bat after getting out. When it was your turn to chase your friends in a game of chasing, you just said, 'I want to go home.' By doing these things, you felt superior. But then, if people had their own fun and didn't include you in the activities they were doing, you just blamed them without checking your own actions. You were the bitter mouth in the colony.

We don't have placements but we do have a relaxed attendance criteria that lets us intern + delhi location.
DU guys who spend meagre 17k as total fees land up the same job in 2 years then what's the point of spending lakhs!!!
But a couple of weeks ago I started my internship at firm, all my co-interns were from NLUs and they are SO stupid and elitist. They are obsessed with theory/philosophy and have NO knowledge of how practical things work. They glorify corporate work which is basically just mindless slavery and they don't work for society and no respect for litigation. They only think about useless fields like M&A and other type of nonsense but not criminal or consti law which will actually help society. They are obsessedf with making connections but at the same time look down on non-NLU students and think anything they want???
Who here has had the same experiences with these NLU kids at their internships?
