Currently the rumour spread by this thread is that a law student has filed said complaint which is not true

All this confusion wouldn't have happened had the SJA ensured (like its predecessors) had ensured that all EC etc records were made available online by the university/VC.
But what about the original query posed here? Did the Associate Professor actually file an FIR against NKC or is it just the complaint to the LCC Barasat?

Friends of the then ICC Chair (well networked with NGOs) are Chairs of LCCs in Barasat, Kolkata etc. May explain why the Associate Prof skipped ICC and went to LCC.

NKC will call for EC soon after the LS election dates are announced. He is also hoping that Westin will help him impress the powers that be.
Both the Associate Professor and the PA should take note of this for their respective cases.
Even then, there was a lot of foot-dragging by the police; PIB kept on with dilatory tactics till the media picked up the issue.
Look at how things are playing out in GNLU. As expected, the university is trying its best to cover up institutional complicity. JGLU also went through a similar loop.

The EC of NUJS should take a call on this matter. In any case now the case has gone to the Calcutta high court at Kolkata. Just wait and watch what the court does on this issue.
Are the EC members aware of the latest salvo by AP?
In 2019, the EC led by KD had terminated the services of the ex-AR Admin after allowing him due opportunity to be heard. The ex-AR Admin had sent in his written representation via a certain Assistant Prof. Following the termination of services, the ex-AR Admin went to Cal HC and Justice Moushumi Bhattacharya was hearing the matter before her transfer to Telangana HC.
In 2024, the aforementioned teach (now an Associate Prof) complained to the Chancellor and LCC Barasat against the VC. Apparently she also lodged a FIR too and the police queried the Registrar and two associate profs. Are you telling me that the complainant has now gone to the Cal HC?
The police case from what I hear has also gone to the High Court.
Yes the VC has got an extension so the matter will now be decided at the High Court.
If the complainant has gone to Cal HC (do we have a confirmation?) she knows the consequences of being proven false. Does this mean that NKC is continuing what got hushed in Cal Univ and KIIT Law?

Very likely both will come up for hearing this week.
The writ filed by a former Accounts Officer pertaining to leave encashment (following his retirement) was disposed in March 2024. Justice Kaushik Chanda in WPA 2599/2024 directed WBNUJS to take a decision concerning the representation made by the ex-AO to NKC, who was accused of inaction, non-communication and stonewalling. Ironic, because that is what the AO used to do as well!
The ex-AR Admin matter concerning SH as well is in limbo following the transfer of the concerned judge to Telangana HC. That's WPA/16208/2019. Will be interesting if he were to return to campus.
