**DOs:**1. Join a good AOR with quality work in your initial days. You may be tempted to join a shiny prestigious chamber of a Sr. Advocate but I'd suggest you postpone that plan for a later period in your career once you know the basics of litigation.

DONTs:

1. If you are someone who wants to establish an independent practice in Delhi itself, I'd not suggest joining a chamber that has only Supreme Court work. You can start with someone with good practice in Delhi HC as there are good chances that they will have Supreme Court work as well.

Coming to your question about the time it will take to make decent money, honestly, I really don't know. I think it's different from person to person. But, if I were to take a shot, and if you play your cards right and are a fast learner and can fetch some smaller clients for yourself, you might start earning decently in a year or two.
