Almost all the SC lawyers are either AoRs, married to an AoR or born to an AoR. The only exceptions are judges kids or genuinely talented advocates (very rare)
Check the recent list of advocates who became senior advocate by the Supreme Court, and you have your answer.

Being an AOR doesn't equate to inflow of work. You get the privilege file in the SC, that's all!
