Seniors at the Bar pay in a horrid manner. Accepted.

Why do they have to treat the junior members poorly as well?

Decency doesn't cost a dime.

Juniors do all the dirty work. Thankless work. And when we have to do their work in the courts between matters, baithne ko bhi jagah nahi dete. Despite the Bar Association membership, no place to do THEIR work. Dafaq? I am literally sitting in a courtroom rn which discharged its board. This is pathetic.

The Delhi food fight must've been at the seniors instigation. I am so jealous of law firm peeps. They at least get compensated in terms of money for the humiliation. They at least have a namesake HR. Litigation is legit slavery for juniors. I fracking want to get out of this hell hole.

Sorry for what you've experienced

Imma one up you, hang on

My wretched homo sapien of a SeNiOr has told me not to be a part of client briefings. Because clients want privacy. I am the one who's effing gonna draft the matter from scratch. And I am not allowed to be in the briefings. So much for privacy huh? I end up drafting without being briefed, only on the basis of documents. Whatever changes are required to be made are because I don't have info beyond the documents in the file. Nothing else, legit.

I am of course looking to change the chambers coz I have no interest in being someone who drafts without being briefed and adjourns because I have no access to the briefs once the matter is filed.

This individual can very happily go looking for someone who'll slog their @$$ of, and tolerate being treated like a runner-chaprasi-cum-steno (that too for personal work)-with added benefits of actual legal drafting and legal research- for chullu payment. Many of this individual's clients think I am the said sEnIOr'S steno/ receptionist. If only they knew that I am the one who actually drafts their matters. No wonder none of the earlier juniors would last long with this individual (got to know this later that most left after barely a few weeks), but have done better after leaving for better places. Had I known this before, I'd legit not have gotten in here. Stay away from the sharks who wanna make you adjournment-specialists. I hope there's a spot in hell reserved for them

You're professionals yourselves, treat your own self with some damn respect
Oye mate, why marked this trollish? I have seriously seen this happen so many times. The 'really damn good' seniors never pull such slime on their juniors. These people are genuinely warm to their juniors. The mediocre ones on the other hand, pull such power trips on their juniors because they want to trot haughty, and unke juniors ke alava, unki sunne mein kisiko padi nahi hai. Juniors got no option but to bear the whole drama of the senior to the point of weariness.
Bruh, which individual having a sliver of sanity would be this delusional? The problem is that despite pocketing heavy fees from the clients, these old crickets refuse to even have a 20K for their juniors. Not even or a per matter basis, at least have that as monthly fixed, to begin with.
Please elaborate. How's that possible? In Delhi courts, seniors have started paying at least 10-20 k to any fresher to cover the cost of travel, food etc.
