Which department within a corporate law firm does not involve mathematics (including its minions like accountancy and statistics) ?
Almost every field is. M&A involves basic addition and subtraction to trace the share capital of a company (that too only verification). Rest all heavy mathematical stuff relating to conversion and other stuff is handled by financial advisors, you just gotta copy and paste it into the agreement.
Here’s the answer: the department that law firms call β€œPublic Policy”, but in India often means dirty, sleazy lobbying with netas and IAS officers. No maths needed here. No meals either.
Real public policy work involves stats and math techniques including regression models, estimates, variance etc.
