Some overzealous third year kids decided to file a petition against government for declaring a holiday on Jan 22. Their petitions were full of political overtones. Even though the order was not in their favour, they got what they wanted, easy publicity.

No one attends classes in GLC and now they are against a day of public holiday.
They rightly got a bashing from the bench. β€œPublicity Interest Litigation”.
I mean agar koi strong case hota to bhi mai support kardeta iss cause ko but as a 3rd year law student, mai sote sote 3-4 arguments bata sakta hu jinka counter nahi kar paayenge ye in court. So yes, indeed their end goal was to gain publicity. Negative and positive dono milega I am sure.
they dont attend classes and that is exactly why they dont know the law
