Everyone smokes here at law school, actually smoking isn't even a big deal. All kinds of drugs are used by these law students and from what I can see at internships, smoking is prevalent everywhere. So any advice on how to be a non-smoker and not be enchanted by how these people relieve their stress?

reply If you like it do it if you donβt then avoid. When peer pressure or trying to fit in starts influencing your decision making then nothing can change your mindset

reply clearly you have made no application of mind to your comment. "If you like it do it if you donβt then avoid" does not work for addictions. It is more like 'never do it' and if you're addicted, 'get help'.

reply Just don't do it, it's your choice, your action, your decision, no matter what setup you are in. Junkies will always have all the excuses in the world to keep doing what they are doing.

reply Everyone will do a lot of things in this profession. It is for you to pick your habits and practices with care. Smoking is a habit you can very well avoid if you are βcoolβ enough to realise that your lungs are more important than short term pleasures.
