The arrogance with which this statement has been made, without even realising that it applies to MBA grads as well. I mean there has been an oversupply of MBA grads for a long time now. More than 5000 colleges offer MBA programmes and in 2021 alone there were more than 4L+ people who enrolled in them.

ohh bhai, jake pata krle thoda about ISB mba. It is recognized by International universities, something which even mid-level IIMs have not been able to rope in. Look at the alumni of ISB, and where all they are placed. Why would ISB need an accreditation from UGC when it has hand of foreign companies?
Sir, ISB MBA is not an MBA. It is a certificate by ISB. US Immigration ke hisab se + Indian Sarkari naukri where MBA is needed, ISB degree is not an MBA and is worthless.
Is changing plans at the last moment and deciding to sit for CLAT one month before the exam and then getting an all india rank around 1500 failure? Certainly not a great rank by any means but definitely not a failure. And in my humble opinion, MBA success CAN make a lot of difference. What would you say to the countless "JEE failures" who went to tier 3 eng colleges and still made it to ABC??? Pls stop overhyping CLAT. For all i know, it is a bad metric to check how well you would do in law school (i don't say this, many professors said this.)
what BS, bhai BBA in BBA LLB is nothing but mockery. Logon k ye nhi pata h marketing management, HR, accounting aur finance hota kya h. You only remain absorbed in core legal conepts and some BBA-related concepts just for the namesakes. If an MBA is your goal, then look to do a BBA-LLB (Hons.). This way you can aim for a 1-year MBA program (rather than a 2-year one). This is possible because, in the BBA portion, you'll have already covered the 1st year MBA subjects. A 1-year MBA will not only save time but also money.
I reckon all the MBA advisors are the same losers who got 4 and 5 digit ranks in CLAT and didn't get even a tier-2 NLU. Remember this, your MBA success won't make up for your CLAT failure.
"every third law grad went to some NLU" is factually incorrect, at the moment there are approx 120,000 law graduates each year, only about, 4500 are from the NLUs.
I said so before and will say so again: LLB alone is a worthless degree. There is an oversupply of lawyers and every third law grad went to some NLU or the other. In the future 90% of students will be doing either an LLB-MBA, or LLB-CA, or a highly super-specialised LLM, in finance, tech etc.
Coming to your case, as HPNLU is near your home you can go for it and visit home every weekend, enjoying home comforts. But you must plan for something afterwards. An MBA is a fine choice and you can start prep now itself.
Is law a good undergrad for MBA? I was at NALSAR but came back because i felt terrible there. Now i am getting HPNLU which is near my home (good thing). Is it possible to build a good career in law starting from here? Why is there so much elitism among folks from other colleges? My other option is to join a BBA college but it is tier 3. I would really appreciate helpful, detailed responses. Thanks :)
