Hello. Do a lot of T-1 lawyers aim for FIRE or they wanna splurge and burn their young years working? I think the salary is good enough to retire with a decent lifestyle by 35-36. Any thoughts?
LMAO. Which car is cheaper than an Alto? An auto rickshaw? 🀣
BS ! 90% of the population will not even have 10 crores as retirement fund. Stop quoting numbers out of your derriere.
That is because 90% of the population won't retire by 35. Plus 90% is dependent on thier kids or live extremely humble lives after retirement. The numbers obviously apply if you wish to live the same way you lived when you were pulling 2L+ pm.
Look at pseudo raghuram rajan here. Do you even think before you write ? You don't need 10 CR or even 2L pm to live a happy successful life.
Nope the salary is not good enough to retire by 35-36, people grossly underestimate the corpus required to quit your job by 35. Additionally if you have kids, then it's twice that amount or even more
Bro, everyone here earns and burns. You see even A0 people buying Omega watches nowadays.
We've sold ourselves out for those omega watches and iphones and foreign chuttis.
Handa says in his AMA that he retired with 12 crore savings. That seems a bit less, doesn't it? He retired at 38, with a wife and child. Wouldn't 20 crore be a safe figure? Or does he still have a regular income through stock trading etc?
Kaam Karo Paisa banao aur kharcho. Jab retirement ka time ayega to property bech ke settle ho jaoonga pahaaron mein.
No easy way out. Either slave your life away and die of stress, or gamble your savings in the stockmarket and die of stress whether you gain or lose.
Travel yes.

Cafe yes.

Hometown yes.

Kids no.

Don’t want any. Waste of time and resources. Too much emotional investment. Ties you down. India is too overpopulated anyway.
I think law firm lawyers have recently discovered FIRE and Reddit in general.
I would love to FIRE and spend the rest of my life reading, travelling and pursuing hobbies. But I don't think I can manage then requisite 40cr of savings.
