Guys, in general, what is the success rate of getting laterally hired without having any connections whatsoever? Preferably in tier-1 or 2? I am in a niche disputes field in a "tier-less" firm (if that is the right word).

Even if it does, it feels like only few instances exist of people being selected without any connections
