Once a junior always a junior. So if you have right attitude and have a good senior, you will start having independent briefs in about 3 years. There would still be matters where you would be assisting him or some other senior. Depending on city and how much you can command, in 10 years you can easily make more than 50 lacs and even north of a crore.
What do you mean by, once a junior always a junior if we can go independent in 3 years ?

Whats "right attitude" you are speaking about ?

Are you willing to talk on anonymous email ? I need guidance
I think OP meant that once you've worked in a good chamber, even once you go independent you are identified as ex-junior of that senior. Their goodwill and their referrals will likely come to you.
50L-1cr after working for a senior for 10 years still doesn't seem worth it, with Tier 1s that figure would be 2x or 3x
Most transactional lawyers after 10 years will touch the ceiling. But, for a litigator it's just start of marathon, the figure will grow exponentially after you touch the 1 cr mark. The real challenge is to actually hit that mark, after that things are going to roll in by itself.
tier 1 after 10 years will pay 75-80L PA except like Trilegal. That being said you would def have more savings.
tier 1 law firm partners make at least 2-3 crore and you make it to partner after 10 years. if as independent counsel, you are making 50L - 1 cr, how is that a good deal? and what you said about savings is 100% true. and personally, id rather make money while im young especially if youre a guy who doesnt want to stay unmarried into his early 30s
