P.S. What could be the reasons for not hosting such a sought-after / anticipated event between the students of the trifecta? From what I’ve seen, it serves as a great mixer for the students (Let’s not digress into issues about including more universities or lower standards of athleticism in students of the 3 participating universities).
It's because the sports committee is gonna get dissolved soon. The JC of the sportsom has a habit of going against the SBA and the admin whenever possible and now the admin is gonna come back with revenge.
The sports scene is so dead. There is no financial investment from SBA or University. Some 30 people have to play with one football of a student because SBA and admin refuse to fund it
It's official. Trilateral isn't happening and the reason they gave is not enough participation in local sporting events lol. This is the same admin that had asked Sportscom to refrain from participating in local tournaments a couple of years back because of hostility faced by the students during such tournaments. Also, there is absolutely zero support from the admin in terms of money, attendance makeup, exemptions, or anything of that sort when it comes to any kind of student activity.
The main motive is to save as much money as possible and pour it into the messiah's masterplan.
Also, I am kind of surprised how Sudhir has successfully hired some well-qualified puppets. For example, the DCRL has got an MBA from IIM-A but he just parrots whatever the VC tells him. In the sportscom meeting last night, he got roasted so bad that he had confess that it's all coming from the VC and not him
When people were saying that Sudhir is only hiring those who would tow his line, others protected strongly and praised his hires. Clearly that was right.
in terms of parrots he imported a lot of controversial nls alum parrots from nlud, i have no idea but i want to see if they are still parrots, because they were rs' parrots at nlud.
It is not just the administration, but an incompetent SBA which doesn’t know how to stand up to the administration. They just walk behind admin and are puppets without a spine. If it was anyone else, we would be having a protest against this decision right now.
Honestly, the student body did not have options. One was elected unopposed and the other 2 candidates were equally bad. Hopefully next year we will have someone like Manhar or others from the batch of 26 who are actually dedicated towards the cause
"Student body did not have options." - translates into those who are criticising now did not have the guts to go up and assume the leadership mantle. Where are the options going to come from, a stork is going to drop them on your doorstep when you are asleep?
First, the sporting prowess of tier-1 NLUs is pathetic to say the least. The kids here are smart but hardly fit. Second, this thing can't be called "Trilateral" if NLUD is not included. NUJS hasn't been a top 3 for almost the whole last decade. It's downright misleading to name this even as such.
NLUD should not opt for the Trilateral at all. That would be the equivalent of slumming for us. We should just directly focus on the Asian Games first and then the Olympics.
