NLS>NLUD>NALSAR>NUJS>GNLU

Would this be an appropriate rank for future job preferences in academia ?
Before the trolls start coming, yes, this is very much appropriate. Even for UG and LLM, this is the ideal ranking in 2024.
Maybe for UG and PhD but why don't you check the list and actually see where toppers of CLAT PG actually go.
Top 5 for PhD (Law) in India:

1. JNU

2. NLSIU

3. Jindal

4. IIT KGP

5. NALSAR/ NLU Delhi
Can't do in IIT as it clearly requires a 2 year LLM and most NLUs or pvt college only give one year LLM.
If you're aiming for IIM then it's better to do an MBA from there than a PhD.
Point 1 and 2 are only valid if you're doing a PhD in corporate related subjects. Not constitution, human rights or other soft laws.
Are you really putting NLS & JNU on the same level. Eye roll!
JNU is not taking in PhD for Int Law except Centre fro Governance.
None of the NLUs has any advantage over the others when it comes to their PhDs. You do not have any idea about the academic world if you believe otherwise. NLUD does not have anyone other than Bajpai who is well known for having guided good theses. NALSAR only has Dhanda.
