Till 3k. Bro this is the list which gets updated on the website. People leave and by June, folks till 3k get it too. Same for nujs in nri domicile. Thank god this is contested
can you tell me how it goes till 3k because last year it went only till 1.4k, how can we know if there are more vacancies to upload or anything can you please brief us about this
Since this thread has not been closed yet, I hope my answer is published. You have to understand that by May all the colleges take your NRIS docs and verify your application. The merit list of NLUJ shows the list till 1445. But in reality a lot of folks canβt end up affording the seats/ or their application gets rejected, plus they just donβt want it- so the seat passes on. If you verified yourself in the merit list, then you would get a mail which is easily the most transparent process. To save time and expedite the admission process (so that candidates start classes before the deadline), colleges start offering the seats to the candidate next in the list and donβt update them at the same time. Some colleges do. Like NLIU. Like HNLU. Even MNLU Mumbai didnβt update their list last year. What happened? They launched a vacancy notification in October. Last year a NRI domicile candidate got till 5.5 k in nujs in the merit list itself. So there was no vacancy notification. NLUJ closed till 3k. What my point is that donβt solely base your hopes on the website list. Colleges at the end just donβt update their respective lists. And itβs not only case of NRI-S rankings, it happens in case of general seats too. They may mail you and can update later.
I can vouch for this. My NRI-S rank was around 622 last year and I made it into at least tier-1 NLUs but in June end. So you kinda have to wait, but the seat will pass on.
NRI quota is scam. Shame on NLUs to create this backdoor entry and make money in an illegal manner. Someone must file a PIL against NRI seats. Meritorious students seats are cut for sale to those who can pay 3-4 times the fee. This must stop...
I don't think so brother, these universities are made by state legislation and are not centrally funded. They need money to keep the colleges up and running and on the other hand where majority of the seats are reserved on the basis of castes. I believe it's kinda justified.
