You sort of bummed this plan OP.
Please think about setting up a more enjoyable career and indeed life in a different practice. As a bright A0 you are eminently employable (regardless of what fears you, like any of us at that age, might have).
Sad to hear this. I wish I could say I can relate, but I don’t think I can.
Suggestions:
1. Try to find avenues where you can blow off steam.
If you own a bike/ car, take a long drive. Or go for a run. If you need to feel at peace, go for a yoga type retreat. Talk to a therapist if you have to.
2. Change the environment you’re in
Since you’re in a firm, it is filled with lawyers, and because of your schedule I’m guessing you have not been able to make many friends in the city who don’t do law. Talking to such people only reinforces the hustle culture you’re in.
Find groups online which do weekend trips or some outings. Travel with them. It will take you more than a 2-3 days to come out of that stressful mental zone. Talking to people outside law will help you regain mental sanity.
