In all law schools we see a feminist group that agitates against what they view as patriarchal policies and practices. For example, the lack of gender focus in the syllabus, comments by professors which reinforce stereotypes etc. Fair enough. But I wonder sometimes if this activism is really genuine? Some of these students make mean comments about other girls in college, they indulge in politics when it comes to dating and couples, etc. Also, many end up joining law firms which enable the patriarchy!
In my uni, one such feminist in her final year became a member of Student Council, and first thing she did was to send an email asking people not to use 'Sir/Ma'am' because "this practice perpetuates a binary perception of gender, implying that individuals must conform to either "ma'am" or "sir" based solely on their gender identity."
Which is a perfectly legitimate concern. If your concerns about reading apply to you also, and not just to women, maybe you want to read Oxford philosopher Amia Srinivasan on the subject. Of course she is a feminist woman so maybe you'll feel the need to call her also pseudo but the world takes her pretty seriously.
They are self serving people, they don't care about actual women empowerment, all this facade is to get admission in fancy llm programs.
Talks about facts but goes by "Bring back patriarchy"

You're the kind of men why feminism is NECESSARY
Exactly, thanks for noticing, that was a bait - this is what most feminist indulge in.
Ask them about the origins of feminism or to name female freedom fighters in India and watch them crumble right before you. All of this a "trend" without hardwork. None of them have read or researched anything worthwhile. They think fluent english and "it's her choice" to every answer makes them holier than thou. F them and the new age pseudo liberals.
Either you just called female freedom fighters pseudo feminists, or you need to seriously brush up your English comprehension skills. Or both.
They are not writing a thesis on it. They believe in it. You don't need to do hardwork to believe in something. Have you researched the patriarchy?
Patriarchy hoti na toh aap angrezi mein yaha gyan nahi de rahi hoti (assuming you are a woman).

The fight should be about creating a society where everyone respects everyone rather than indulging in hate mongering.
Oh, is that how you think patriarchy works? Clearly you need to do a whole lot of learning too.
If you know how patriarchy works ? State how many villages in India have a matriarchy and why the numbers are decreasing ? Bus trend mei ghusna aata hai. Padhna likhna kuch nahi hai.
People don't get into LLM programs after researching patriarchy, so there's no need for research, just direct perception.
They kind of do. They definitely do not get into them with deep ignorance about patriarchy, in case you had plans to go hang out with white 'pseudos'.
Lol. Then I'd say you're a brainwashed fellow. I can understand the WhatsApp uncles, since they weren't exposed to such literature before and therefore get swayed away by misinformation. But if you, an educated young person studying in one of the best law schools of this country stand for something that you've not even read about and can't even explain to a layman, what difference does it make between the WhatsApp uncles and you, a future lawyer?

If you want to fight for a cause whether feminism, israel-palestine or anything that's in the trend, go ahead, be my guest. But don't embarrass yourself by throwing in the excuse to "believe" in something without the hardwork. Tomorrow when you appear before the court or your partner, they'd want to see the actual hardwork that you did and not the belief that you did the hardwork.

& yes I've researched about the patriarchy when I condemned it in my last article. Get a life kid !
Pehle apni ideology sudhar bhai. If you believe in something you'll be interested to know it's past and present. Otherwise not everything is God that you just believe in it. Even then you'd know more about God and their stories than 1st or 2nd wave of feminism.
Looking at LI sometimes I feel I will have to add a filter for incels/pick me ups when hiring.
Fake everywhere- law schools, the bar... Everywhere. They only use feminism as a step stone to further their own selfish agendas.
they think trans men should compete in women's sports

insanity in my opinion
It doesn't matter, that trans man referred to is probably gender fluid and you have offended the hell out of him/her/it by misgendering him/her/it (or what have you!).
There is a woman from RML who used this card to get admission into Oxford/Cambridge.

Such a pretentious person she is
Since you haven't ever been in the admission board of either place, how do you know what card she had played to make that happen?
there are two kinds of feminists i have found in law schools, 1. who are loud and all they do is cry about everything wrong with society. 2. the one who have realised that world is unaffair and work towards bettering it. i consider only the 2nd one feminists
Ad hominem spotted. Please work on your debating skill pseudo feminist.
What's the difference between a feminist and a needle?

Ans: The needle has a point
I have grown wary of people on NLU campuses talking about things relating to social justice. What they talk about rarely translates to their actual life. And if one does walk their talk, it comes at a heavy personal price. Better to just befriend everyone and stay shut about politics unless it's on social media to score points or something.
The right wing crowd exists mostly on LI. On campus, it is limited to certain rooms in boys hostels.
Yeah, campuses are full of thugs masquerading as flag bearers of liberalism.
Didn't the opposition think the same ? Look where we are a decade in. The right wing believes in doing. The left believes in talking. That's why when results are presented the right always wins. The left keep crying. Jai Shree Ram !!
Delusional if you think the current government is economically right-wing. It is nothing but socialism painted in saffron.
Keep adding more terms. In the end it doesn't matter. It's right wing.
