Absolutely admire what Dr. Kaur has been doing at NLUJ. There were protests during Dr. Saxena's tenure but she was just not interested in seeing the college grow. However, that does not take away from the fact that the later is a brilliant teacher. I think all good teachers are not great administrators and vice versa. But Dr Kaur sure does both very well.
The students are 100% responsible for the defects of NLUJ under Saxena because they never seriously protested or went on a strike. That's the only way to get things done in India.
There have been quite a lot of changes. For instance, the number of Continuous Assessments (CAs) has been reduced from 4 to 2. The distribution for internal assessment now stands at 15 (CAs) + 10 (Presentation) + 25 (Projects). Even the course curriculum is being updated from what we have heard until now. Also, the best part has to be that all Saturdays are now off. The administration under Harpreet Kaur seems to be really student-friendly, at least until now.
It has been one semester since Harpreet Kaur has joined the institution. Considering how Poonam Saxena was viewed the end of her term was considered the commencement of a new era.
