I have an opportunity to go for an LLM from a Tier 1 NLU. But wanted to know what local colleges usually pay to someone who is an NLU grad (UG & PG) and has just cracked UGC NET. (No JRF, No PhD)
Depends on how 'local' you are thinking.

A friend taught at a very local college - I doubt anyone on this site has even heard of it. They paid about 30k IIRC, then took a portion back in cash. This is a standard practice in a lot of "local" schools & colleges, at least in North India. Institutions get to show higher expenditure in white (and thus maintain "no profit" status) while they get to keep the cash.

At the same time, there are decent private institutions who pay better too.

My friend taught at that place for a year only to get some experience under the belt, then moved to a better institution.

Hope this helps.
25k without NET or PhD.

30k with NET no PhD.

UGC guidelines for Asst Prof acc to 7PC with PhD.

Moreover, you may leverage the pay accordingly, with CV, talent, Publications etc. it depends on how much API score you can accumulate.
