Buy what you want bhai- just don't look at cars and jewellery as an investment. Buy it like you would buy any thing you will use. Noone is telling you to not buy these things. Buy it, but recognise it as an expense towards giving you psychological safety and comfort (house), some social standing (gold jewellery, nice car). Don't count these towards your investment calculations
