I am seeing a lot of people moving to t1 firms after a couple of years, having only experience of boutique firms or even chambers. Is disputes relatively easier in practice areas than corp in terms of polarity?

reply Its not. Most of them are partner referrals who gets noticed when they are representing the opposite party or working in collaboration with arguing counsel

reply I said working in collaboration with arguing counsel. In all high stake matters firms engage counsels who have their own team and a lot of people shift laterally. It's not at all surprising to see" court se t1". If you are not capable enough of doing this that doesn't mean nobody is. Look at profile of t1 disputes lawyers. A lot of them are lateral hires who used to practice in courts. I
