Does being the Convenor of good societies like NLIU CLT or CBCL add value to your CV or do recruiters just skip that part?

It did for me at least. In interview they asked me how will you handle the pressure that comes with the role

I answered it by telling them the work I did while leading the moot court committee of my uni, and they were satisfied with the answer.

Mostly they skip it. Telling this as NLIU student who got placed this year.

How many ppl got placed?

Only marks matter

Doesn't matter for Law Firms and high paying jobs, but could matter for Activist sort of jobs like NGOs, Think tanks, Co-Operative Society
