Non-NLU student here. Does a masters and PhD from an NLU give atleast some sort of clout in academic interviews ? Especially in non-nlu colgs or pvt colg ??

I'm preparing for judiciary. Want to do masters as a backup. Will the NLU tag atleast give me a temporary teaching position, having once cleared NET??
That's a misconception. In every NLU including NLSIU, there are multiple people including recently joined ones, who have TLC undergrad degrees but LLM and/or PhD from NLUs, currently working as permanent faculty. No need to take my word for it, check out the faculty profiles yourself.
NLU tag is important for any role that you aspire for. whether or not those with NLU tags are better in terms of knowledge etc is a completely different debate altogether. but recruiters consider NLU tag as an advantage because of the goodwill that NLUs have in legal market
