Oh yes. Most definitely. The only reason Mumbai is the financial and commercial capital over GIFT city is alcohol. So now that is fixed, Mumbai will fail.
Absolutely. Ahmedabad is on its way to becoming the second financial capital. Look at what else lies in store: bullet train, 2036 Olympics... Just awesome.
GIFT city has legalised alcohol. This is a welcome news as young professionals were hesitant to move to a dry state for career, hence there was talent retention and hiring challenges for Ahmedabad based offices. Now with this news, whether more and more firms will prefer Ahmedabad over Mumbai since Mumbai is already over crowded. Hopefully soon alcohol is legalised in entire state. This will effectively shut down weekend tourism economy of Diu, Daman, Abu or Udaipur where Gujjus just drive to drink and party.
