GIFT city has legalised alcohol. This is a welcome news as young professionals were hesitant to move to a dry state for career, hence there was talent retention and hiring challenges for Ahmedabad based offices. Now with this news, whether more and more firms will prefer Ahmedabad over Mumbai since Mumbai is already over crowded. Hopefully soon alcohol is legalised in entire state. This will effectively shut down weekend tourism economy of Diu, Daman, Abu or Udaipur where Gujjus just drive to drink and party.
