If you’re trying to defame or embarrass him, let me remind you that a fake rape charge was even filed against Rahul Gandhi. Anyone can make fake accusations against anyone. If the case against Lokenath, Chatterjee really had substance, he would’ve been arrested and made to face trial. The fact that even a regime as autocratic as the TMC has not arrested him shows how fake the charges are.

"Notwithstanding the repeal of the Code, it shall not affect any proceeding, investigation or remedy in respect of any such penalty or punishment as aforesaid, and any such proceeding or remedy may be instituted, continued or enforced, and any such penalty may be imposed as if that Code had not been repealed."
