Hi friends. We are less than 100 days away from the 2024 elections. Political parties, as well as MPs in their individual capacity, have begun recruiting college students from across India as interns. In some cases, consulting organisations are recruiting on behalf of political parties. A lot of the work is part-time WFH online, such as research on policies, spreading awareness on social media, or editing Wikipedia pages. In some cases there is paid work, in some cases there is no pay. Either way, a certificate will usually be given. Thus, it's a perfect opportunity for law students. You can get work ex and build contacts without leaving home or campus, plus do something for the nation . You can also make friends, as there are meet-ups with other volunteers. It will certainly count as a university-recognised internship if there is legal and policy research involved. So that's why I have started this thread. The idea is as follows:

1. Identify which cell of which party is recruiting. For example, legal cell of BJP, minority cell of Congress etc.

2. Identify which internship will result in legal and policy work. For example, if a party hires you merely to march on the streets and hold placards, that is obviously useless.

3. Identify which internship will result in a certificate. This is very important.

4. Along with parties, identify which MPs are recruiting in an individual capacity.

5. Similarly, identify which consulting firms are recruiting.

6. Finally, most important: share email ids or social media pages where once can drop in applications.

Inside gossip about party strategies and policies (e.g. UCC or caste census) are welcome, but please don't make it about pure politics like Modi vs Rahul, as this is an internship topic. Thanks.
AAP has reached out to NALSAR and NUJS. Not sure whether to NLUD too, probably yes.
