I am a gc with a board role. Writing this from the airport on my way to London. It gets tiring. No new places, just the same hq again and again. Of course, acquisitions happen. Then you get to travel.

If you are asking if law firms serenade a gc with off sites. Yes.

Have I taken it? No

Do most people do? Yes. That's one way corruption enters this game
Second this. Travel is glamorous the first 2-3 times, but after that it gets annoying. There are only so many times you can meet old batchmates in London, Singapore or New York.

Yes, all of these cities always have "things to do", but you have family, work, and other things to deal with, and staying back to visit the MOMA or Burj is the last thing on your mind on Trip 4.
