All I can think of is quitting my job. I don't have a back up job right now. How do I stop myself from losing it and resigning? What do you people do to keep going?

Note:

1. I am working in a company. They're paying peanuts. So money isn't a motivating factor. Also, I am no longer doing what was in my JD.

2. I am aware that law firm jobs can be worse but I am not looking for a comparison.
In the same boat. I joined my law firm Around 6 months back and it has been horrible. The fact that I need to wait for 6 more months to apply else where is haunting. But please hold on, don’t give up just yet, this is what u tell myself and I’ll tell u the same
Feel the same way, but I think it will be harder to get a new job if I am unemployed... seems easier to find something without a gap on the CV.. so just applying to new jobs regularly.
How long does this process usually take if the person applying has no contacts?
Honestly, don't know... have been applying for 4-5 months now, got some callbacks, but nothing materialized as of now.
Absolutely hate the idea of going tomorrow. All I can think of is resigning
