As stated above, I am a 3rd year at one of the top 2 law schools. However, my grades are not that good (around 50% of people in the batch might have better grades than me). I have done around 3-4 internships including in law firms and chambers; am also doing a national moot and a reputed national nego competition; have few publications at relatively good blogs to my name. I, however, feel like my prospects of getting a job in a T1 firm are not that bright given my average grade. I have already given up on any hope of securing a PPO as I am not sure if I would even get an internship through my Batch's Recruitment Committee. My Day 0 would most likely be happening in 2025 i.e., when I would be ending my 4th year. Can someone explain what is it that recruiters look for in a candidate on Day 0 for gen corp or disputes teams? Our GPAs would be freezed in the 3rd Year itself for the purposes of Day 0 so I don't have the luxury of increasing it by the end of 4th year. All of this gives rise to a lot of anxiety and stress about job prospects. Requesting people to share their thoughts in this context.
