Being opposed to Palestinians reclaiming the land forcibly taken from them is a horrendous take from someone who is already or going to be a legal practitioner in India. PiS is unquestionably far-right on social issues. They enacted one of the most stringent anti-abortion laws during their rule, and also played a major part in setting up 'LGBTQ-free' zones all over Poland, which had to be scrapped as they got called out by the EU. Poland's economy has been growing at a stable rate ever since they got rid of socialist one-party control. If everything was indeed going so well then other parties having ideologies ranging from left-wing to centre-right would not have rallied together to successfully dethrone PiS from power. I did my research before speaking, period.

First of all there was no far right anti EU govt in Poland, the Party's name is PiS and they are considered as a Right Wing Party not Far Right and also they aren't anti EU, they are pretty much pro EU while also supporting Ukraine's accession into Europe and providing them the most aid, yeah they are odds with some laws of EU and think a nation's law should hold precedent over EU's but that doesn't make them anti EU, so I reckon u do some research before blabbering the popular thing u see on trending.

Also during PiS rule from 2015 to 2023, Poverty in Poland has came down to 15% in 2022 from 30% in 2015 and economy is growing at a pretty good rate, so yeah research before speaking,period.

The far-right anti-EU government of Poland lost miserably. Macron and his party keeps on winning and winning. Almost all polls show that Gen Z is very progressive on most social issues. Argentina might have elected Javier Milei, although he's not a conservative but a libertarian. Maybe focus more on advocating sensible monetary policy rather than partaking in a toxic culture war by wanting to oppress the rights of marginalized groups. Otherwise, you'll always be on the wrong side of history.

First of all, I applaud you for having the courage to be conservative despite being from Gen Z. Now let me tell you that wokeism and Marxism is just a fad for NLU students. They all end up joining CAM and advising Adani, buying luxury watches, eating at expensive restaurants etc. So don’t be too affected by it.

Saying you support Israel in the current scenario, cribbing about 'militant islam' (what do you even mean), actively opposing 2 people's choice to love and marry each other? None of your opinions are about your own life, they're about interfering with other's right to live and hence any backlash you get for that is fully deserved. An opinion should be about how you like your eggs cooked not other people's lives.

Please tell me which firm is this and which opinion of his/her you found so problematic that you won't even consider employing this person. Though I do not agree with any of the views, all of them are something which is still debated in India. If he/ she had been denied a government job based on these personal views, it would have led to a successful writ against that entity. While as a private entity, your firm need not fear it, it is utterly shameful how "law firms" don't give the same freedom provided in the constitution. I pray that Karma doesn't hit back on you or your family members to the point you can't even get a job because your superiors find your personal views "problematic".

If you have an opinion about so many things and people and want to have the freedom to express those too, then why can't others have the freedom to express their opinion about you? Nobody is preventing you physically to say these things, or filing police complaints against you, right? I am in a T1 NLU and cancel culture here is just horrible. A 9th standard student of my school has better tolerance then the liberal wokes here. I want to know is this the same scenario in law firms as well. I know law firms have a lot of work to do so they won't have time to engage in this crap, but if my seniors could pull up such wokeism on cancelling their peers and professors inspite of a hectic academic culture then anything is possible. I am okay if people disagree with me as long as they don't demonise me and it doesn't affect my job. I am concerned about growth of militant Islam (Islamophobic), believe that marriage is between male and female and won't attend pride parade (homophobic), supports Narendra Modi (Sanghi and Bhakt), is of the view that a man cannot just 'identify' as a woman and walk into women's bathroom or play women's sports (transphobic) supports trump and Israel (racist). Can I be open about all this to my peers or will I be called out and lose my job? I don't mind being cloistered for five years in law school but I am not willing to be so for my entire career. I do academically well and I am quite confident that same will be the case in law firm. Any insights on conservative safe spaces in law firms will also valuable for others like me, i.e. if they do exists. Also R-wingers in T1 law firms do vent your experience on this issue.
