We want LI to be one of the friendliest places on the internet, where lawyers and law students help each other with their career related queries and occasionally discuss other stuff that might affect their lives too. In other words:
1. Be kind, respectful and helpful to each other.
2. Be bona fide, truthful, genuine and curious.
3. Assume the best intention of others.
Therefore, in using the site, you must agree to do your best to uphold these community guidelines.
Note that what you find here is written and moderated by anonymous people on the internet.
Therefore everything you read here is very likely unverified, rumour, speculation and/or downright false.

Do you solemnly agree to all of the above?
Also, I'm thinking I will have another try in the CLAT next year, do you think it will be wise to switch if I somehow get a better NLU?
If money is a issue then GLC.
However, if you do not lack the funds, JGLS offers some of the best faculty and resources for the students. Off campus access is there for every journal/legal research website you could think of and you can interact with some really qualified faculty via electives (Like Justice U U Lalit, Gautam Bhatia and many more).
If you can make use of these resources, it could be worth the expense. The foreign collaboration office is also very active with multiple opportunities for semester exchanges and pathways.
I got into a T2 NLU and still decided to come here, but pretty much slacked off for most of my degree (COVID was especially difficult) and now, I have given up on finding jobs via the OCS (They were humbled this year after the record high placements last year). Not sure if I regret not choosing the NLU at this point. Guess I'll find out soon enough.
In conclusion, despite the batch strength, you will find some really hardworking and competent people here, and if you can put in the effort, the sky is the limit. However, competition is tough and it is easy to get carried away and lose track of your academics. All the best
SLSP, GLC and ILS have a cult of alumni which have been doing pretty stellar (if you take out the top NLUs) from the quantum of top-down comparision at law firms, chambers and companies.
If given a choice, choose SLS (Pune) blindly and get in touch with your alumni for internships and job opportunities since they help - I know people shoot emails to the SLSP partners at the tier 1 I am in and trust me they respond and open doors to deserving candidates. If not, both GLC and ILS are great places with solid heritage.
Given the fees, huge batch size and snob kid reputation of Jindal, I don't think its prudent to splurge on a law degree from a developing private university which holds very little weight in the larger scheme of things.
Unless you have all that money to give away and not expect a return.
Consider if you want to be a lawyer ? Enroll in BA courses and attempt coat next year/ do the llb degree later.
